The Web Development process, from start to finish

Web Hosting Recommendations:

Your online business needs a premium quality web hosting to built on. With a premium web hosting service, your site will load faster and have zero downtime. Regular shared web hosting services such as BlueHost & HostGator are for small and personal sites, and are not built for running a full scale online business site. If you want to have a solid foundation, you need a premium web host like WP Engine.

Platform Recommendations:

I work exclusively on the WordPress platform and I suggest you to have your site on it as well. Within WordPress, you will need a solid premium theme to build your site on it. I suggest Genesis Framework, as it’s an industry standard, robust theme framework.

The hiring process starts with you. You must have:

  1. A clear business objective
  2. Smart business goals
  3. A budget

Use this form to complete the questionnaire and I will get back to you within 2 business days.

Upon approval, I will then setup a skype session of 30 minutes to discuss the project.

If everything works out well and we seem like a good fit, then I will schedule a timeframe for your project (usually 1 month)

You will have to pay a deposit of 50% to book the schedule.

In this stage, we will identify your market and how to structure your website. We will talk about the content and design of your website. You should have at least 75% of your website content and the design ready for me to begin. With the approved content and design ready I will begin the development process.

In this stage I will take the content and the approved design from you and start the development process. I will develop your website in WordPress Genesis Framework.

After development, it’s time for you to review the completed website. You will have to pay the remainder of 50% in this stage. After you make the final payment, I will do additional changes or reviews on your request.

Once you are happy with your website and approve it, I will then put the site on your live server and launch the site.

Next Steps

After you launch your website, it is recommended that you sign up for a monthly maintenance plan to keep your website updated and secure.

After that your job is to focus on your business and serve your customers.
